The Animal Edit

On the plateau a yak is not livestock. It is family — the herd carries the tent, the milk and the winter, and the sheep does the rest. So the women who braid wurdoo put what cannot be said aloud into the one square of woven wool they keep at the centre: the wuti.

A yak. A sheep. Sometimes a horse, a dragon, a tree. Worked in wool with a needle, never printed. It is a blessing without a prayer — good fortune, health, a winter that ends.

Series III · The Dopamine Edit

Every knot here is braided in the nomads' own Nine-Eye Vajra knotwork (九眼金刚结) — the technique Tibetan herding families have fed through their wurdoo for generations. On the plateau it grips a stone hard enough to turn a yak at a hundred paces. Re-braided here, it carries your day.

We didn't shrink the sling to make it wearable. Every part of a real wurdoo is still in it: the twisted body cord, the knots where a herder's fingers would tighten, and the flat woven panel — that is the wuti (乌梯), the little cradle woven into the centre of every sling, the pocket that holds the stone just before it flies. Here it is the piece your eye lands on.

We changed one thing. A herder's sling ends in a woollen lash that frays with use; ours end in plump felt pom-poms in candy-bright colour — the same weight, the same swing when you move, but joy instead of wear. Then we left the rest to you. At roughly 120 cm it arrives deliberately unassigned: a phone strap across the body, a headband knotted at the nape, a waist chain looped through your belt loops, or anything else you invent.

Every chain is braided once and no two are ever alike — each palette is mixed by the weaver on the day, so a colourway can never be repeated. What you see below is the entire batch: all twenty-four pieces, each photographed exactly as it is. The Original Wurdoo

The Tibetan sling itself — pure hand-spun yak wool, braided in the traditional knotwork that has guided herds across the plateau across generations. This is where the brand began, and it remains our flagship.

The Classic finish — with the herders' traditional red-and-green tassels, exactly as it has always been made — co-created with the artisans from Yushu’s nomadic communities. Wear it as a belt, a long phone strap, or a bag charm.
